A Busy Capitol Hill Ocean Week

The SNP team traveled to Washington DC last week for Capitol Hill Ocean Week. They attended several events, including NOAA’s Sustainable Seafood Celebration, where they met with seafood-supporting Members and discussed how Congress can help get more seafood into American kitchens and restaurants.

While in DC, they also held more formal meetings with a number of Congressional offices to talk about the importance of seafood nutrition and supporting a national educational campaign.

The team met with Representative Buddy Carter of Georgia, as well as staff from Senator Blackburn, Senator King, Senator Collins, Senator Markey and Representative Pingree’s office.
